    Phase 1: Identify which words to learn:
    When you finish reading, make a list of new words to learn separately. Learn words of the same topic at the same time, but focus more on the words that are important to the topic you are studying.
    Study carefully words that you encounter more than one time.
    Learn general, family words first

    Phase 2: Choose and combine appropriate methods
    Learn faster with the help of flash cards and notes.
    For flash cards:
    Look at the word and try to recall the definition on the back. Look at the definition and sample sentence and try to recall the word on the front. As you go through the cards, sort them into stacks: know and don`t know. The next time you review, concentrate on the "don`t know" stack. Periodically, review all the cards. Periodic review of information is critical to remembering.
    Alternatively, use marking to indicate your familiarity with the word
